Mike Logan, Chief Information Officer, Western Iowa Tech Community College:
Moving Colleague to the cloud was an amazing experience.
Christina Brandon, Associate Dean of Outreach, Western Iowa Tech Community College:
Before we were on the cloud, we had to do upgrades very systematically. So, it was amazing when we went to the cloud because then you got those changes quickly and you were able to keep up with what those students wanted.
With this technology we have really been able to become more personalized and more student-focused, which is our whole goal. And without it, we would be lost. Honestly, it was really difficult before to have any kind of talking piece with students or any kind of focus, and that's what it's done for us.
Mike Logan:
The goal of everything we do is to empower the student for success. The one thing I didn't want to see was a student struggling because they couldn't find the information that they needed. And one of the things that Colleague has done a wonderful job with is centralizing everything into one place, one experience for the student.
Then they have their opportunity to do their homework 24/7, wherever they need to be, and if they have a part-time job and they come in the next day and their hours got changed, it's still OK. They have everything they need to continue, and it provides an opportunity for a student to experience something that maybe they never had in their lives.
