Bahrain Bourse concludes its participation in the “Youth City 2030” program


Bahrain Bourse (BHB), a self-regulated multi-asset marketplace, has concluded its participation in the 11th edition of the “Youth City 2030” program, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports alongside Tamkeen as a strategic partner . The event was held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Center from July 24 to August 31, 2022, under the slogan “Let Us Connect Again” to educate young people, nurture their talents and foster their creativity.

Bahrain Scholarship’s participation in “Youth City 2030” involved a series of awareness sessions covering basic concepts on money management, savings and financial planning to support young students aged 9-12 to make sound financial decisions. The sessions were followed by various edutainment activities to inculcate the concepts learned during the sessions.

Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al-Khalifa, Managing Director of the Bahrain Stock Exchange, said: “Bahrain Stock Exchange’s participation in Youth City 2030 aims to further equip young people with key financial literacy and strengthen financial inclusion and is in line with Bahrain Stock Exchange’s outreach programs aimed at increasing awareness of financial literacy among various age groups within society, especially among the youth. Bahrain Stock Exchange highly values ​​youth outreach programs which are well aligned with Bahrain Stock Exchange’s own initiative, “The Smart Investor Program”, a national outreach initiative for primary school students in partnership with INJAZ Bahrain .

Commenting on INJAZ Bahrain’s successful participation in Youth City 2030, Her Highness Shaikha Hessa Bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, President of INJAZ Bahrain said, “Youth City provides an essential platform for young people in the Kingdom to share their knowledge, improve their skills and participate in an environment conducive to creativity among peers, mentors and leaders.INJAZ Bahrain is proud to support students and young people in the Kingdom as they become the leaders of tomorrow and gain crucial knowledge in key sectors through valuable impact-driven opportunities with key partners and platforms as they excel.

Bahrain Bourse has implemented several outreach programs including the “Smart Investor Program”, in partnership with INJAZ Bahrain targeting primary school students, and the “TradeQuest” program, which targets high school and university students and has been running for 23 years, as well as the “Capital Markets Apprenticeship” and the “Investment Academy”, which is a joint initiative between Bahrain Stock Exchange and the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF) to promote training programs to support the capital market local and is aimed at beginners, intermediate and professional investors.
