FAIRMONT – Services for Dale A. Bryan, 67, of Fairmont, Minn., Will take place at 12 p.m. on October 2, 2021, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont with full military honors following the service of Lee C. Prentice American Legion Post # 36 and Martin County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 1222. Interment will take place at a later date. A moment of remembrance will be held one hour before the service from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on October 2, 2021, at Lakeview Funeral Home. Dale passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Temperance Lake Ridge in Sherburn, Minnesota. Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont helps the family make the arrangements.

Dale A. Bryan was born December 18, 1953 in Parkston, SD, the son of LaVerne and Iona (Godfredsen) Bryan. Dale grew up on the family farm near Stickney, SD, and received his education from Stickney School, graduating from Stickney High School with the Class of 1972. After graduating, Dale enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. After receiving his honorable discharge, Dale will serve in both the Minnesota National Guard and the South Dakota National Guard.

On March 14, 1975, Dale married Judy Reinesch in North Carolina. Together, the couple would be lucky enough to have a daughter, Carla. Dale had an incredible ability to read people and know exactly what they wanted, which made him a successful salesperson. He has held various sales jobs in addition to owning and operating the “Poultry game” restaurant near Huron, SD, and the vacuum store at Fairmont. In his youth, Dale was active in a youth group at Stickney Methodist Church. He loved meeting new people and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Dale was passionate about sports and looked forward to the hot summer days spent on the golf course and the cool fall nights cheering on the Fairmont Cardinal football team. Sundays meant getting together as a family to eat, laugh, and hope the Minnesota Vikings would bring home a victory. Dale was very good at cooking and was an accomplished cook. He was a member of the Fairmont Eagles Club.

He remains to be cherished in memory, his daughter, Carla Knudson of Crystal, Minn .; two grandsons, Joseph and James, also of Crystal; sister, Marlene Ditzler of Fairmont; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Dale was predeceased by his parents, LaVerne and Iona Bryan, and two brothers, Gary and Don.
