Donations exceed expectations for Shop With a Sevierville Cop

SEVIERVILLE, Tennessee (WATE) – The Sevierville Police Department said donations for their 2021 shop with a Sevierville cop exceeded the department’s expectations. They have sufficient funds for the 2021 program.

The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 16. During the day, children in need will have breakfast, lunch and be taken shopping by an SPD agent. The races are financed by donations from the public. All other donations received this year will go to Shop With a Sevierville Cop or other SPD youth programs such as the Kids Police Camp.

“We are very grateful to all of our residents and businesses who have come together to support our children in need,” said Chief Joseph Manning. “You will all have a significant impact on the children and teens of the Shop With a Cop program, helping them have a wonderful Christmas this year. “

Club Treasurer Chad McFall and Club President Matthew Cubberly presented SPD with a check for $ 1,500.00 on Monday.

In addition to numerous donations from the public, the MFC Motorcycle Club, Rocky Top Chapter, contributed $ 1,500 to the program.

For those who wish to donate, a Shop With SWAT bank account has been opened at Citizens National Bank (CNB). Donations can be made at any Sevier County CNB.
