Internship program launched to help Macau youth thrive in GBA



A “Macao Youth Internship Program” for different industries and university majors has been launched by the Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone in Hengqin to meet the internship needs of different groups of young people in Macao.

The program will reach out to quality enterprises and projects nationwide that are in tune with Macau’s industrial development to provide greater platforms for young people in Macau to practice what they have learned and cultivate more talent to promote appropriate industrial diversification in Macau.

Under this program, a total of 7 to 8 special internship activities will be launched from July to December this year, providing more than 500 job opportunities for young people in Macao.

The internship is mainly intended for Macau students (including undergraduates and above) and other Macau young people with relevant work experience between the ages of 18 and 45.

A total of 4 special internship activities will be implemented in the fields of modern finance, e-sports, public administration, artificial intelligence and information technology. Internships will be located in the Guangdong-Macau Deep Cooperation Zone in Hengqin as well as Guangzhou, Zhuhai and Shanghai.

Of the four activities mentioned above, the two in the cooperation area and Zhuhai are open for applications from May 4 to May 18. There are 50 internship opportunities offered by the various offices under the management committee of the cooperation area, and 80 to 100 summer internships. internships in some well-established enterprises in the cooperation area as well as other places in Zhuhai.

To apply for the internship, please follow the WeChat official account “琴澳青年” (pinyin: qin ao qing nian) and submit your CV to the position you are interested in. Some final notices on the internship program as well as pandemic prevention and control requirements will also be posted on the WeChat account.

The internship will be adjusted according to the implementation of the first phase and the real needs of young people in Macao. In the future, more internship programs will be introduced in areas such as cultural tourism, congresses and exhibitions, trade and exchanges.
