The Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill is sponsoring the Living River Quartet concert at the Normal Park Gazebo on Friday, September 10 at 6 p.m. This is the fifth year that the church has sponsored a Living River concert in the area, had no concert last year due to COVID.
Living River, a four-man Christian quartet from central Wisconsin, presents a mix of contemporary styles of praise and worship, gospel and acappella. âThey remind me a lot of the Oak Ridge Boys and include many of their songs in their gig,â said Sharon Karow, who helps organize the entertainment each year. âThey actually opened for the Oak Ridge Boys when they played at Wausau [some years ago]. “
âLiving River is a Christian band playing a mix of country and Christian music and a good witness to the Merrill community, especially when we see this world in turmoil,â she added. “So we hope that the people of the region will come together, relax and enjoy some upbeat music.”
Ahead of the concert, Trinity’s new Christian Education Director, Devan Arnston, and the Trinity Youth Group will have hot dog and burger meals available for purchase, starting at 5:00 p.m., and Trinity will be offering specials. free gift bags for the first 100 children. who attend.
